Huge Thanks for Your Support – 1,700+ Objections Submitted!
A massive thank you to everyone who took the time to submit objections to the planned Emmock Substation. With over 1,700 objections, we have far exceeded expectations, proving that our community is strong, engaged, and determined to protect our rural landscape. This incredible response gives us real hope that together, we can stop Emmock Substation from being built. Now, we wait to see if Angus Council will listen to our voices.
However, we cannot rest—developers certainly aren’t. Multiple large-scale energy projects are being proposed, threatening to turn Tealing into one of the world’s largest battery storage facilities.
Ongoing & Future Developments
In addition to Myreton BESS, several other developments are in the pipeline, including:
- Fithie Energy Park – 1.6GW BESS
- 17 Acres BESS – 100MW BESS
If these projects go ahead, Tealing will no longer be a rural village but an industrial energy hub, with significant environmental and safety concerns.
Myreton BESS – Second Consultation Event
A second consultation event for the proposed Myreton Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) will be taking place soon. We encourage everyone to attend, ask questions, and make your voices heard.
📅 Date: Thursday, 13th February 2025
🕑 Time: 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
📍 Location: Tealing Village Hall (3 Hall Road, Inveraldie, Dundee, Angus, DD4 0QW)
Next Steps – How You Can Help
We will be sharing more information soon on how to submit objections to Myreton BESS. To make the process easier, we are also working on a simple online tool to help residents submit their objections quickly and effectively.
Stay tuned for updates, and let’s keep up the fight to protect our community!
Thank you again for your unwavering support!
